This photo was taken in Banff, Alberta during a daytrip that

and I took in August 2010. A lot of stormclouds rolling in over the Rocky Mountains. We managed to escape the rain...mostly.

This shot was taken in raw mode and processed with a Graduated Neutral Density edit to darken the sky and brighten the foreground. I would have preferred the use of a real filter, perhaps even a Circular Polariser, but I didn't quite plan ahead
